A custom Chrome extension that monitors freelance platforms like Upwork and Fiverr, playing audio alerts for new jobs or messages to help freelancers respond faster.
The Challenge
Freelancers often lose revenue by missing urgent notifications while working in other tabs. They needed a persistent, audible alert system.
The Solution
We utilized Chrome's Manifest V3 background workers to poll specific API endpoints. The extension injects scripts to detect DOM changes (new messages) and triggers a customizable audio alarm.
